THE ROLE OF YOUTH IN PROTECTING TRADITIONS

 Malaysia’s cultural heritage is one of its greatest strengths, shaped by the diverse customs, festivals, and practices of Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Indigenous communities. As the country continues to modernize, some traditional elements risk being forgotten. In this context, the role of youth becomes especially important. Young Malaysians are not only the inheritors of cultural traditions, but also the key to ensuring these traditions stay relevant in the future. When young people involve themselves in traditional performances, ceremonies, and local customs, they help keep these practices alive.
